It's the greatness of simple ease. Charm, lightness, seriousness, respect for characters, casual glancing off tragedy (Alexandre's death), the joy of group creation, the capturing of transient pleasure (the crew will go its separate ways after the shoot has concluded) and the intensity of relations mirroring the intensity of the creative experience of filmmaking. Yes, it's great, but it's a lighthearted greatness.
