I am afraid I am one of those ignorant people who prefer Pauls voice. I add also that Paul in his 30s did amatuer opera in Bath, I think it was lead roles. You say you are trying to make us understand. What an arrogant person you are. i understand what I feel when I hear Paul sing. I understand what I feel when I hear others sing. Just because you have been to conservatory, does not give you the higher ground and dictate to us we should not like, quote your words, this "crap"

@lincsposter Dude. Simply the fact that you put Pavarotti in same league means that you've got no clue of what singing means. Pavarotti was in his prime one of the best opera singers in history. Bocelli has always been a pop-operatic modest thing with ridicolous expectations ( in Italy they laugh at you if you claim Bocelli is an opera tenor). Paul Potts is the sad proof that media took over every decence. Without his moving story in BGT this guy wouldn't sing in an amateurish company.

I just wrote 'cause I was moved by your efforts to make'em understand how Opera and music in general is a lil' different than this crap. But no way, dude. Guess you lose your time. @Hunterunc: When I saw him perform on BGT, I knew that "they" were probably going to fix his teeth, and I was concerned that it would affect his sound,but it didn't...he still sounds incredible. Looks a bit better, but still sounds great.

This man went from selling mobile phones one day to singing infront of the Queen and millions of viewers the next, he must have been bricking it. So cut him some slack "thecrew 221". Good luck to him, truely a dream come true, Us Brits really know how to knock ppl down, Bravo Paul.

Not only was he nervous singing before the Queen, but he had just had his teeth fixed that week and was in terrible pain. Still he delivered a spine-tingling performance. I think he really is an angel.

@LacBk23 Let us not forget this was Paul's first TV performance on UK TV after winner BGT! ! Bocelli and the great Pavarotti had done this thousands of times before! And to do this performance infront of HM The Queen! This is OOTW! And I am NO opera queen! Well done Paul!

This is a great video. I personally think Bocelli and Pavarotti are better but Paul Potts is still sn increadible singer no matter what anyone says. And @Goldenthroat86 you're an idiot, all opera singers use microphones. It's pretty hard to sing to a packed crowd and be heard, all of the greats used mics, even the best need their voice tobe magnified some.
