The red Thera-Band is looped through the leather pouch and secured to the bolts using snare knots.
Notice the new push/draw method and the 1/2" thick Plexiglas safety shield.
243 fps is pretty quick.

Using a 48" Aluminum clamp from Harbor Freight as a base a fork and a very simple trigger mechanism was installed.
It will allow a very strong rubber to be pulled with 100 pounds of force and can be locked in one inch increments.

This is a very destructive dart.
It flies straight and true.
The 10d nail head first penetrates 2 layers of 3/4" plywood and the 3/4" shotshell face makes a deep impression in the plywood.
I can reverse it to make it go point first, but I need to weld on a stop to prevent the plastic seal from sliding down the nail.
